I was sent a spray sample of this by another fragrance nut, she wanted to know my thoughts, being mysteriously ambivalent about it even when pressed. If it wasn't for my promise to write my thoughts honest and all, for every scent I wear, I would avoid writing about Corpi Caldi. Warm bodies.
I will start by saying that I enjoy fruity florals, I don't care if it's mainstream or niche, celebrity etc. If it smells good, I'll wear it. However...
This smells like three or four or more perfumes thrown together. Looking at the massive list of notes, there's an entire fruit orchard and pretty much everything but the kitchen sink. The end result smells like a totally artificial fruit mess, it's even knocked the patchouli and musk out for the count.
I've tried my sample three times now on different days to be absolutely fair, I used fragrance-free soap, wore it at different times of the day and even going from air-conditioning to the tropical heat outside. The only difference I got was that the heat made it even more cloyingly syrupy than it already was at 18 degrees celsius.
There is one positive thing about it that fans of this will be very happy with. The sillage is enormous and it never seems to fade away, I can still smell the memory in my brain.
